Maria Kostelas is an author and musician. She studied under the tutelage of classical and jazz legends like James Galway and James Newton, as well as Native shamans. The experiences with the shamans not only changed her musical direction, it changed her entire life. Her journey with them is documented in her book, The Gift of the Singing Stick. She offers her one-woman show and Literary Concert, based on the book, in a national tour that begins Spring 2019.
